In June 2026 we played as part of an event to support the Buy Back Brixton campaign - to support the culture, diversity, community and independent traders in Brixton. Organised by the Advocacy Academy and Brixton Traders Association - who launched a bid to bring Brixton Village market into community ownership and prevent it being sold to private equity. A group of Dendê Nation drummers were chosen to feature in the opening shot of the BBC’s World Cup promo film for 2026!

Jack in the Green - hASTINGS PARADE

Jack in the Green is a huge parade and celebration that takes place on May Day through the streets of Hastings Old Town. Our Hastings group form the main part of the parade, joined by some of the London drummers - drumming through the streets and then performing on stage in front of an enormous crowd at the end of the parade.

Opera Holland Park - Carnival Culture

As part of the warmup events for Notting Hill, all the Brazilian bands participated in an evening at the incredible Opera Holland Park.
Our amazing guest singer Jel Negromont got the whole crowd up dancing!

Brixton - Atlantic Road Street Party

In 2025 we took part in a community street party event on Atlantic Road in Brixton. It was amazing to feel the energy from passers by as they joined in and started dancing.
